Our mission is to educate students for Christian service and leadership throughout the world. ACU is a national leader in Christian higher education and a place where students, faculty, staff and alumni change the world.

Our Religious Heritage

ACU is affiliated with the Churches of Christ. The university welcomes all students who value the strong Christian environment and exceptional teaching offered on the campus. Required daily chapel and required Bible courses contribute to the open acknowledgement of Christian faith as an important aspect of the lives of most ACU students. All faculty, staff, administrators and members of the Board of Trustees are Christians.

Abilene Christian University's Conflict Resolution Certificate is a 15 credit-hour program designed to prepare students to analyze, address, and manage conflict effectively and professionally. A key feature of the program is its emphasis on reconciliation. There are many professions in which the certificate has direct application including human resource management, healthcare, education, law enforcement, military, government, and social services. It is of critical importance to corporate, civic, and church leaders. Upon completion of the coursework, participants will receive a graduate certificate in Conflict Resolution, which also may be applied toward ACU's online Master of Arts in Conflict Resolution and Reconciliation or the Master of Education in Leadership of Learning. Abilene Christian University's Master of Arts in Conflict Resolution and Reconciliation is a faith-based, online program that prepares you to analyze, address and manage conflict effectively and professionally. You will gain in-depth preparation that is invaluable to you if you are seeking a career in dispute resolution or find yourself with significant peacemaking opportunities in your chosen career. The program will prepare you for leadership roles in careers in dispute resolution and in a wide range of disciplines requiring the effective management of conflict. Abilene Christian University's Master of Education Curriculum and Instruction is a faith-based, online program that prepares you to supervise instructional and support personnel at the school building, facility or staff level. This program is designed for practicing classroom teachers like you who seek additional training in working on instructional design. The degree could also benefit you by fulfilling district requirements to earn a graduate degree for continued employment.
